Replace description:

This tool provides search-and-replace operations across multiple text files. You can search documents for a phrase or several words, multi-line or regular expressions, and use the search engine's style queries. Actual Search & Replace displays abstracts from the searched files and highlights the search words or phrases in them. The replace facility lets you insert text before or after search occurrences, delete text, and replace text with spaces, in addition to standard text replacement. The preliminary search, ability to undo changes and the backup feature help the user easily control the process of modifying files. The searched files can be filtered by size and last modification date. You can save reports about the found files and detailed information about the inclusions found in them. The batch replace operation allows to execute a lot of various replacements with one click. The program also supports a command-line mode.

Replace 2.8.2 was released on Jul 29, 2008. The current version will run on Window.

Replace is a shareware. You will be able to use the evaluation version available for download during a limited period, after what you will have to buy the full version to continue to use Replace.
