ASADAC description:

ASADAC is Sybase SQL Anywhere BDE replacement for Delphi/C++Builder.

ASADAC allows to create Delphi/C++Builder applications with direct access to Sybase ASA (SQL Anywhere) DB without BDE and ODBC.

ASADAC allows you to simplify scheme looks like Application--BDE--ODBC--SQL Anywhere to simple one: Application--SQL Anywhere.
BLOBs are supported. Interface is BDE-like and TDataSet compatible.

ASADAC 2.5.1 was released on Mar 7, 2002. The current version will run on Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000, NT. Additional system requirements for ASADAC include Delphi 4-6 or C++Builder 5/6 Sybase ASA (SQL Anywhere) 5.x-7.x.

ASADAC is a shareware. You will be able to use the evaluation version available for download during a limited period, after what you will have to buy the full version to continue to use ASADAC.

Size of ASADAC 2.5.1 download is less than 1600 Kb. DSL users will only need one minute to achieve the download, when 3 minutes may be required when using a 56k modem. (See below to download ASADAC 2.5.1).
