Datasource organization and retrieval utility for Windows platform.
Supports Natural Language, standard and intelligent phrase text searches on databases, spreadsheets, all datasources (including binary files), Adobe PDF, ZIP archives, and Internet resources (Web, Usenet, Jobs, and Stocks). Allows for stock monitoring and prediction. Supports live-indexing and remote querying via peer-2-peer (P2P) collaborating agents, and automatic construction of similarity classifiers from examples. A comprehensive Thesaurus of synonyms categorized by word usage and corresponding word sense is also provided along with examples. DaTex supports content-specific organization of datasources into query folders, which in turn can be readily exported and restored. Batch search is supported. Any number of user-defined indexes. DaTex 3.0 was released on Oct 30, 2002. The current version will run on Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000, NT. Additional system requirements for DaTex include MS Word 8.x or higher, Internet Explorer,VB 6.0,Microsoft Windows Scripting 5.6.

DaTex is a shareware. You will be able to use the evaluation version available for download during a limited period, after what you will have to buy the full version to continue to use DaTex.

Size of DaTex 3.0 download is less than 11127 Kb. DSL users will only need 5 minutes to achieve the download, when 26 minutes may be required when using a 56k modem. (See below to download DaTex 3.0).
