Netwister description:

Netwister is a group of system administration tools. It consists of Netwister service that runs in the background and performs scheduled tasks, and Netwister GUI - Java application for configuring Netwister service. GUI can be run both locally and remotely.
Netwister File Processor is a file processing tool that performs user defined file transfers. Netwister may transfer files from local PC, shared data storage on LAN or remote FTP server.
File processor can process subdirectories recursively, log all file transfers. Any task can be scheduled to run continuously, several times a day, once day at specified time of at specified day of week only. One instance of Netwister File Processor can handle unlimited file transfer and purge tasks.

Netwister 1.1 was released on Aug 14, 2003. The current version will run on Windows 2000, NT, XP. Additional system requirements for Netwister include Sun Java Runtime Environment 1.4 for GUI.

Netwister is a shareware. You will be able to use the evaluation version available for download during a limited period, after what you will have to buy the full version to continue to use Netwister.

Size of Netwister 1.1 download is less than 1560 Kb. DSL users will only need one minute to achieve the download, when 3 minutes may be required when using a 56k modem. (See below to download Netwister 1.1).
