ProMedia description:

Promedia is the Swiss Army
Knife of multi-media tools. This amazing all-media software allows users to acquire
music from CDs or MP3s, images from a digital camera, scanner, TV/VCR, Internet,
or digital video from your camcorder and then display them in any one of the more
than 50 different supported file formats. You can even watch TV/video, or listen
to music while performing other tasks. Convert CD tracks to MP3, WAV or WMA. Produce
movies from your static pictures with our Video Constructor. Now Web-Enabled!
Utilize ProMedia with your favorite web browser to download, open and view your
favorite image files with one simple click of your mouse button. Acquire images
from a scanner, digital camera, Video camera, or TV/VCR from a TV tuner card or
frame grabber. You can also perform a screen capture with options such as Capture
Area or Capture Active Window, allowing users to either capture from within the
program or from the active window of another program. Edit images with zoom in
or out, our new magnifying glass tool, or pan window. You can resize, crop, rotate,
flip, mirror, or adjust levels of the images. Try one of over 30 filters on static
images and video. The program supports all Photoshop plugins some of which are
included with ProMedia. ProMedia comes with an Annotation program that lets you
add notes or comments on your images, and even record and play a voice annotation
which can be stored with your pictures or movies. Display or save an image in
any one of over 50 different file formats. Our advanced thumbnail browser lets
you preview even large data sets. Convert files - ProMedia can convert MP3 to
WAV, WAV to MP3, WAV to WMA, WMA to WAV, CD Tracks to MP3, WAV, or WMA and perform
batch conversion on over 50 image file formats. It will also convert video including:
MPEG-1 to MPEG-2, MPEG-2 to MPEG-1, AVI to MPEG-1, AVI to MPEG-2, AVI to GIF Animation,
GIF Animation to AVI, GIF Animation to Video or Video to GIF Animation.

ProMedia 1.2 was released on Jul 15, 2001. The current version will run on Windows 2000, NT. Additional system requirements for ProMedia include 20MB HD.

ProMedia is a shareware. You will be able to use the evaluation version available for download during a limited period, after what you will have to buy the full version to continue to use ProMedia.

Size of ProMedia 1.2 download is less than 19382 Kb. DSL users will only need 10 minutes to achieve the download, when 46 minutes may be required when using a 56k modem. (See below to download ProMedia 1.2).
