ShareAMP description:

Share your speakers with ShareAMP. ShareAMP allows everyone to build, play and listen to one MP3 playlist together. Much more fun. Get rid of the headphones and isolation, be free and have fun sharing your taste of music! Using ShareAMP everybody in the same space can control which MP3s are played on any given speaker set, via a LAN connected pc or laptop. Together you build playlists and operate them. Basically it enables you to digitally "remote control" an MP3 player. ShareAMP server works with WinAMP or the MP3-player installed with Windows Media Player 6 and up. The program runs as a server or client. It is also possible to build your own ShareAMP client using Macromedia Flash or Director.

ShareAMP 1.04 was released on Jan 10, 2002. The current version will run on Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000, NT, XP. Additional system requirements for ShareAMP include Pentium II or compatible processor, 32MB RAM, 2 MB diskspace.

ShareAMP is a shareware. You will be able to use the evaluation version available for download during a limited period, after what you will have to buy the full version to continue to use ShareAMP.

Size of ShareAMP 1.04 download is less than 521 Kb. DSL users will only need one minute to achieve the download, when 2 minutes may be required when using a 56k modem. (See below to download ShareAMP 1.04).
