Softener 1.26 was released on Apr 10, 2006. The current version will run on Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000, XP. Additional system requirements for Softener include Adobe Photoshop, or Photoshop plugin compatible program.

Softener is a shareware. You will be able to use the evaluation version available for download during a limited period, after what you will have to buy the full version to continue to use Softener.

Size of Softener 1.26 download is less than 436 Kb. DSL users will only need one minute to achieve the download, when 2 minutes may be required when using a 56k modem. (See below to download Softener 1.26).
