Teratris description: Have you ever felt as if Tetris games deliberately give you the pieces you don't want? Well, this one can do! However, for a more relaxing game it is possible to turn this feature off and enjoy a classic game of Tetris, or take advantage of some of the game's many advanced features. There are special immovable metallic blocks (at higher levels), an optional set of fifteen pieces instead of just the seven standard ones, and an 'anti-gravity' mode in which blocks land on the ceiling! Teratris has a rich variety of textured graphics that scale to fit your screen. There are 30 unique levels (10 in the shareware version), and a 'practise mode' in which you simply earn as many lines as possible. The game can be customized in many ways, such as varying the number of rows and columns of blocks that can be fitted on your screen, and specifying which keys you want to use for which actions. You can even set up a 'boss key' that will minimize the game quickly when your boss walks into the room! Teratris 1.1 was released on Aug 10, 2001. The current version will run on Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000, NT. Additional system requirements for Teratris include 256 colour screen; 16 MB free RAM. Teratris is a shareware.
