XText description: Dynamically link text files to AutoCAD drawings, like an Xref for text files. Supports AutoCAD version 14 and up. Text is contained in a block. Easy to insert, edit and update. No visual degradation on machines without xText (no proxy graphics necessary). Four basic commands: Insert, Edit, Update and Update-All. (Update-All non-functional in demo version.) This version supports ASCII files only. XText 1.1 was released on Apr 15, 2002. The current version will run on Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT, XP. Additional system requirements for XText include AutoCAD R14 or higher, VBA. XText is a shareware. You will be able to use the evaluation version available for download during a limited period, after what you will have to buy the full version to continue to use XText. Size of XText 1.1 download is less than 1841 Kb. DSL users will only need one minute to achieve the download, when 4 minutes may be required when using a 56k modem. (See below to download XText 1.1).
